Kohima DTF meeting deliberates on importance of Covid tests

Guwahati: District Task Force, Kohima in Nagaland conveyed a meeting on Tuesday headed by the Deputy Commissioner and Chairman DTF Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, NCS along with and Advisor, Urban Development and Municipal Affair, Dr. Neikiesalie Kire, Advisor Technical Education and Election, Medo Yhokha which was attended by HoD and representatives from AKMWP, KCCI and KVYO.

In the meeting, the agenda of the High Power Committee were highlighted and the members discussed thoroughly the modalities and measures to activate the unlock phase 1 from July 1.

The members reiterated on the situation of Covid-19 and deliberated on the importance of testing and to trace out the actual position on the rise of positive percentage.

Reviewing the status of vaccination, the DTF acknowledged the progress in the district and further encouraged to take up more measures and awareness to sensitize and vaccinate all eligible beneficiaries.

To create more awareness on the vaccination progress, the KCCI has initiated a vaccination card to be pasted at the entrance of the shops (indicating that the shopkeeper has been vaccinated). The KCCI and AKMWP has also been requested to assist the DTF in monitoring the malls, markets and shopping complex and regulate additional SoPs to avoid overcrowding in the next unlock phase.

In the course of discussion the DTF requested all the leaders of the wards to identify the positive patients and strictly adhere to the SoPs of isolation and to track till their isolation period is over.

The DTF decided that after getting the directive from the HPC the future course of action will be issued. The meeting concluded with suggestions from the members to strictly enforce the odd even practices of vehicles and to strictly follow COVID-19 protocols at all times.
