Kolkata: Large Rock Python rescued from train at Sealdah station

Kolkata, Aug 10 (IBNS): The Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Wednesday rescued a rare species Rock Python from an express train at Sealdah Railway Station in Kolkata, reports said.


According to reports, during routing check up, police rescued the snake, which was placed underneath a seat, from 13164 Down Hatey Bazare Express (Saharsa, Bihar - Sealdah, Kolkata).

The python has been handed over to the West Bengal Forest Department.

RPF has started investigation into the matter.
