Manipur: Health alert sounded fearing spread of Coronavirus

Imphal/UNI: Manipur government has started taking up precautionary measures to stop the deadly Coronovirus from reaching Manipur.

There was panic today as a girl was admitted to RIMS after she returned from Hongkong.

She came back on Jan 20 and on Jan 27 she started complaining of headache, sneezing, runny nose. The girl was admitted at RIMS today and was under observation.

There was no official statement regarding the matter. Officials have also started monitoring entry points in the state.

In the border areas Myanmar stopped movement of people and entry was allowed only after screening by a medical team.
