Monsoon rains disrupt Mumbai's train services
Mumbai, Jun 21 (IBNS): Suburban train services in Mumbai were badly affected on Tuesday with the monsoon hitting the city on Monday, according to media reports.
Train cancellations and delays on the Central Line caused havoc during the morning office hour rush, leaving thousands of passengers stranded at the railway stations.
A taxi strike only compounded the passengers's woes.
In Diva station, passengers blocked the railway tracks in protest, media reported.
Railway authorities cited flooding of railway tracks as the main reason for the disruption.
