Over 1.45 cr COVID-19 vaccine doses still available with states: Health Ministry

New Delhi/UNI: More than 1.45 crore (1,45,21,067) balance and unutilized COVID-19 vaccine doses are still available with the states and Union Territories, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Saturday.

A total of 19,10,650 more will be received by them within the next three days, it added.

So far, the Centre has provided 31.17 crore (31,17,01,800) doses to the states. Of this, the total consumption, including wastages stands at 29,04,04,264 doses, as per data available this morning.

Meanwhile, India on Saturday registered 48,698 fresh cases of Covid-19 and 1,183 fatalities in the past 24 hours, pushing the country's active cumulative caseload to 3,01,83,140 and death toll to 3,94,493, as per the Ministry's data.

Till now 31,50,45,926 people have been administered Covid-19 vaccines, with 61,19,169 being inoculated against the virus in the past 24 hours.
