Religare Health Insurance launches 'Joy'
New Delhi, Jan 7 (IBNS): Religare Health Insurance Co Ltd (RHICL), a specialized health insurance company, has expanded its bouquet of products with the launch of a new Health Insurance Policy, 'Joy' that offers cover for maternity and the new born.
A perfect blend of hospitalization and maternity insurance, Joy offers industry’s shortest waiting period in the retail market of only nine months for maternity-related insurance claims.
The Maternity Cover includes Pre-natal and Post-natal periods with pre-hospitalization cover of 30 days and post hospitalization cover of 60 days.
The insurance policy also covers medical expenses of the newborn from birth till the completion of 90 days and even offers a no claim bonanza add-on benefit wherein the sum insured of the policy would be doubled during renewal, if no claim has been filed during the preceding year.
Joy comes with an insurance cover of either three lakh rupees or five lakh rupees. The insurance policy offers cashless treatment at over 4100 hospitals across the country and in an emergency, the insurance plan also has the provision to cover for ambulance-related services.

The launch of Joy now takes the number of retail offerings by Religare Health Insurance to six. The company already offers five health insurance products in the retail segment, Care- Comprehensive Health Insurance, Assure- Critical Illness & Personal Accident Cover, Secure- Personal Accident Cover, Enhance- High Deductible Health Insurance Plan and Explore - International Travel Insurance. The company also offers Group Health Insurance and Group Personal Accident Insurance for corporates.
