South Indian staff nurses go on strike in Kolkata nursing home

Kolkata, May 14 (IBNS): Demanding hike in salary structure, few South Indian staff nurses of a privately-run hospital in south Kolkata's Mukundapur area have suspended work since Saturday morning, reports said.
According to reports, few days earlier the hospital authority published an updated salary structure for its staff nurses, which could not satisfy them. Demanding more hike in salary, as many as 250 nurses have stopped working.
 
Medical service in the renowned hospital has been party disrupted due to the sudden suspension of work.
 
Till the last update came in, the hospital authority has started discussions with the striking nurses on their demands to solve this problem.
