West Bengal records 2,976 fresh Covid-19 cases, fatality toll touches 3,339

Kolkata/IBNS: West Bengal recorded 2,976 fresh Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours taking the eastern state's total tally to 1,68,697 cases on Wednesday, the Department of Health and Family Welfare stated in its bulletin.

With 56 new deaths during this period, the fatality toll related to the virus has touched 3,339 in the state.

There are 24,445 actives cases in the state presently while the discharge rate is 83.53 pct.

According to the bulletin, 19,75,493 people have been tested so far for the contagion across 70 laboratories.

A total of 2,454 people are in government quarantine centres while 56,307 are in home isolation.
