Wild Wisdom Quiz, an initiative of WWF national wildlife quiz is back in its 8th edition

New Delhi, July 8 (IBNS): The Wild Wisdom Quiz, an initiative of WWF- India is back with its eighth edition. Scheduled to roll out across schools in July 2015, culminating with the National final to be heldin October 2015, the quiz aims to provide students a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the wildlife of this country, build their interest towards the rich natural legacy and inspire them to work towards its conservation.

Keeping in tune with United Nation’s declaration of 2015 as the ‘International Year of the Soil’, this year’s quiz will highlight the importance and conservation of soil. The quiz will test children’s aptitude and knowledge on soil, minerals, evolution, climate change and sustainability, apart from issues of Indian wildlife and global biodiversity.

The quiz is open for students of classes 3 to 12 in three respective categories: Junior School (Classes 3-5), Middle School (Classes 6-8), High School (Classes 9-12). Registrations for Junior and Middle Schools are open till 31st July 2015, while the High School quiz, which is an online version, is open till 15th October 2015.  Schools will have to register themselves on http://quiz.wwfindia.org/wwq/index.html for participation.

The National Final for the Middle School will be held on 7th October 2015 in New Delhi. The winners of the Wild Wisdom Quiz2015 will be taken on an adventure trip to a national park. The camp experience will provide students with an opportunity to live amidst nature and witness it in full glory. The students will also take part in multiple adventure sports during this trip.
