Ahead of launch, Google Pixel 8a specs leaks showcase an AI-powered smartphone with durable design

New Delhi/IBNS: Google is expected to launch Pixel 8a smartphone in India and globally at the upcoming Google I/O conference on May 14 and the leaks keep rolling in for the upcoming midrange device.

Several leaks, speculations and rumours have already appeared online, highlighting the Pixel 8a’s expected price, specifications, design, and other features.

Google Pixel 8a: Storage, price, colour options

According to a report by 91mobiles, the Google Pixel 8a might be unveiled in 128GB and 256GB storage variants, and the device might be launched at around Rs 45.000 in India.

Globally, Google Pixel 8a's 128GB variant might be priced at $499 (INR 41,600), while the 256GB variant is tipped to be priced at $559 (INR 46,600), reports said.

The leaks also claimed that Pixel 8a might be available in four colour options -- Bay, Mint Obsidian, Porcelain, and Orange.

Pixel 8a: Expected specifications

Several tech specifications of Google Pixel 8a have already been tipped, including a 6.1-inch display, Tensor G3 chipset, dual rear camera setup, and an IP67 water and dust resistance rating.

The device is also tipped to have multiple AI features, including the Circle to Search, Live Translate, Magic Eraser, and Audio Magic Eraser etc.

The smartphone from Google will likely boast a 6.1-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED display, while the device is anticipated to be equipped with the Tensor G3 chipset, like the one featured on the Google Pixel 8 series, according to 91mobiles.

Google Pixel 8a might flaunt a 64MP OIS-enabled main camera and a 13MP ultra-wide sensor, while it might equip a 13MP front camera.

Pixel 8a will operate on Android 14 out-of-the-box, which will have seven years of Android and security updates, according to leaks.

The Google phone might come with a 4,500mAh battery and 27W fast charging technology, reports 91mobile.

It is also speculated that the Pixel 8a will likely include wireless charging, an IP67 water and dust resistance rating, and AI features.

Pixel 8a: Design

Some recently leaked images of Google Pixel 8a reveals that the smartphone will come with a punch-hole display with rounded edges, while the volume and power keys are placed on the right edge of the Google phone.

Pixel 8a's left edge features the SIM port, while the charging port is located at the bottom of the phone.

Google Pixel 8a's back panel features a camera module with a thick horizontal strap featuring two sensors and an LED flash, as reported by 91mobiles.
