Former Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, who was once removed by Elon Musk after taking over the micro-blogging website, has founded a cloud platform named Parallel Web Systems Inc.

The Parallel website says its work spans innovations across crawling, indexing, ranking, retrieval, and reasoning systems.

Speaking about his company, India-born Parag Agrawal wrote on LinkedIn: "As we scale with customers, we’re growing outside core engineering for the first time and hiring our first: Design Engineer, DevRel Engineer, Research Scientist, GTM Lead."

As per his LinkedIn post, Agrawal founded the company in 2023, months after he was removed from Twitter (now known as X).

Elaborating further about his company, he wrote in another post: "We already power millions of research tasks every day, across ambitious startups and public enterprises. Some of the fastest growing AI companies use Parallel to bring web intelligence directly into their platform and agents. A public company automates traditionally-human workflows exceeding human-level accuracy with Parallel. Coding agents rely on our search to find docs and debug issues."

He also announced the launch of Deep Research API.

He said it will be the first to outperform both humans and all leading models, including GPT-5 on two of the hardest benchmarks.

As per Parallel website, the Palo Alto-based company's investors include First Round Capital, Index Ventures, Khosla Ventures, and many others.
