Globsyn Skills helps youth in rural West Bengal to gain employment through training on DTH Installation and Maintenance

The one year course which ends in October 2015, will see trainees becoming National Occupational Standards (NOS) accredited skilled workers in DTH set-top box Installation and Service  certified by Globsyn as the industry face of the programme with Vidyasagar University giving it academic attestation. 

Thirty-six students from the batch of fifty have already been recruited by Videocon d2h and Tata Sky for engagement in their ongoing projects for which they will be given honorariums till the completion of the training entitles them to regular salary benefits.

The course, open to those with a minimum educational qualification of Higher Secondary (+2), is being conducted at the Silda Chandra Shekhar Community College which is one among the 200 Community Colleges nationally recognized by the University Grants Commission, the group said in a statement.

Commenting on the Silda Training Programme, Rahul Dasgupta, Managing Director Globsyn Skills, said “At Silda, we made sure that classroom learning   has been suitably paired with on-the-job training. We will make this methodology a template for all our training programmes across multiple sectors.
