Jammu witnesses seven-day multi-lingual short story festival

Writers, who participated in the recently concluded seven-day multi-lingual short story festival, presented their pieces in various local languages in Jammu.

According to reports, writers presented their short stories in languages like Dogri, Hindi, Gojri, Punjabi, Pahari, Urdu and Kashmiri.

The chief guest of the event was popular Urdu poet Qadoos Javaid.

In the beginning Geetaka Kohli presented a short story ‘After the funeral’ in English. She was the only writer to present short story in English, reports Daily Excelsior.

O.P Shakir, Dr. Mushtaq Wani, Neelofa, Dr. Assadullah Wani and Swatantra Dev Kotwal presented their stories during the event.

Satish Safeer, Ashok Gowhar, Kusum Sharda, Chaman Pinjouri, Vinod and Bimla Misri were the six Kashmiri writers who joined the event.
