Lakme Fashion Week Winter continues its 15th year celebration

Mumbai, Aug 4 (IBNS): India’s premier fashion and trade platform, Lakmé Fashion Week continues to celebrate its 15 glorious years of fashion.

This prestigious platform unveiled a stellar line-up of 100 participating designers and 13 sponsors, who will be showcasing their collection from the Aug  26 to 30 at Palladium Hotel in Mumbai.

The forthcoming season will witness the perfect blend of upcoming talent and industry’s most established names to set an unparalleled benchmark in fashion diversity and creativity.

Speaking during the launch of this beauty statement, Purnima Lamba, Head – Innovations, Lakmé India said, “As an extension to the Sculpt statement we introduced last season, we now bring forth a playful assortment of lipsticks that are brighter, bolder and happier than ever before. These high-definition matte and crème lip-colors are specially designed to let you play with your pout in an easy-to-use crayon format. Along with Gaurav Gupta’s style aesthetics and the vision of Lakmé makeup experts, we look forward to presenting runway renditions of playful, experimental makeup at the Lakme Fashion Week Grand Finale.”

Sharing his views, Saket Dhankar, Vice President and Head-Fashion at IMG Reliance said, “We continue to celebrate 15 years of leadership in the Indian fashion industry with many commemorating initiatives this season. To name a few, the transformed the Jabong Stage offers a new dimension in fashion content in India, the dynamic platform will play host to unique presentations by established designers along with runway shows. As part of the festivities, we have lined up a special edition of Indian Handlooms and Textiles Day. We are looking to revive, uplift and celebrate Banaras handlooms in partnership with India’s leading designers." 

 

With the launch of our special campaign ‘Reinvent Banaras’ we put the focus back on Banaras handlooms through exhibitions, fashion films, demonstrations and panel discussions. Furthering our digital prowess, this season we introduced India’s first Instagram Model hunt to reach a wider pool of aspiring runway talent. The debut of opening show designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla followed by Grand Finale of LFW’s very own Gen Next find Gaurav Gupta, both at offsite locations, add to the cheer this season. Our continuous thought leadership, commitment to business of fashion and digital edge has retained us as a platform of choice for the best design talent in the country.
