P. C. Chandra Group provides financial assistance through Anuprerna 2019 to underprivileged students

Kolkata, Sep 2 (IBNS): P.C, Chandra Group, with diverse business interests, including jewellery, chemicals & adhesives, housing, hospitality, etc. offers financial support to underprivileged but meritorious students as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Recently, they organised Anuprerna 2019, where they felicitated 15 Madhyamik 2019 students from underprivileged families and handed them their scholarships. 

Theater personality and teacher, Sohini Sengupta, and Suvro Chandra, Joint Managing Director, P. C. Chandra Jewellers. were present at the felicitation ceremony.

"I am very thankful to P. C. Chandra Group for organising this kind of program. I am pleased to see the wonderful work of providing financial support to the students," said Sengupta.

Tanmoy Nandy, Antara Wasima, Sourav Nandi, Biplab Singha, Soumyajit Bose, Subhadip Maji, Kousik Das, Nirbed Mondal, Moumita Biswas, Subham Nayak, Sneha Natua, Pramita Jana, Gobinda Kayet, Pratyush Karan, and Sumana Das were the recipients of the scholarships and came from Nadia, Bankura, Burdwan, Medinipur, North & South 24 Parganas, and Murshidabad districts of West Bengal.

The students thanked P. C. Chandra Group for this initiative to stand by their sideand helping them to dream big in life and to accomplish their dreams.

Suvro Chandra, Joint Managing Director, P. C. Chandra Jewellers said, "The Anuprerna Scholarship Programme is a matter of great pride for us as we are able to encourage these young minds and to shape their lives. All barriers have failed to stop them. They took the stride of dedication, devotion and commitment and kept struggling hard till they achieved their goal. It is a great moment for us as Anuprerna wants to support our future generations with a strong foundation for a stronger tomorrow. We shall also track their progress and be in touch with them regularly. For the Anuprerna students of the previous years, we have been holding regular workshops for their development and growth. "

Other student support initiatives from the business group includes J. L. Chandra Merit Scholarship (given to Madhyamik toppers) and Gyandhara (to knowledge center in colleges).
