Kolkata, May 2 (IBNS): The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat is holding a Japanese Food Festival, Konnichiwa Kolkata, until May 5 at The Seasonal Tastes.

The menu curated by Chef Sandeep Meitei, Asian Sous Chef, consists of different cooking styles: grilled, steamed, deep fried and boiled.

Rice being Japan's staple food, almost all the serving dishes are made with rice or eaten with rice.

Some of the menu highlights include soups like ‘Miso Soup with Enoki’, ‘Kani Mushroom Soup’, which may be paired with appetizers like ‘Tempura’, ‘Tofu’, ‘Wakame’, ‘Spring onion’, ‘Enoki Mushroom’ and more.

Main course includes ‘Buta Kakuni’, ‘Japanese Chicken Curry,’ ‘Teriyaki Chicken,’ ‘Saikyo Miso Sawara,’ ‘Taimushi Steam Sea Bream’, ‘Kushiyaki’, ‘Asparagus & Tomato Shitake Kushiyaki’, ‘Ebi kushiyaki Yakitori’ to name a few.

Desserts include ‘Wasabi Panna Cota,’ ‘Green-tea Cheese Cake,’ ‘Yuzu cCeam Brule,’ ‘Tropical Fruit Platter,’ ‘Matcha ice cream.’ and more.

Available between 7.30pm and 11pm, the package has been pegged at Rs 1,400 ++ per head.
