Samsung has announced the launch of its Galaxy A27 5G in India, priced at ₹28,999.
One of the standout features of the device is its 6.7-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED display, which delivers vibrant colours, sharp detail, and smooth visuals with responsive touch performance.
The smartphone’s upgraded Infinity-O display minimises the camera cutout through a discreet punch-hole design for a more immersive viewing experience. It is also protected by Corning® Gorilla Glass Victus+ for enhanced durability.
Under the hood, the Galaxy A27 5G is powered by the 4nm Snapdragon® 6 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, paired with UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5X RAM for reliable all-round performance.
The upgraded GPU is designed to deliver smoother graphics, while high-speed memory enables faster data transfer and improved efficiency during multitasking, streaming, gaming, and AI-powered applications.
Triple camera setup
The Galaxy A27 5G features a 50MP primary camera with OIS and 4K video recording, a 5MP ultra-wide lens with a 115-degree field of view, and a 2MP macro sensor capable of capturing close-up detail suitable for high-resolution prints.
On the front, the device houses a 12MP HDR camera for well-balanced portraits and high-quality video calls.
The camera system is supported by AI-powered editing tools, including Object Eraser for removing unwanted elements, Edit Suggestions for automated enhancements, and My Filter, which allows users to replicate the style and tone of selected images.
AI-powered features
The Galaxy A27 5G includes Circle to Search with Google, enabling multi-object recognition, and Voice Transcription in the Voice Recorder app, which offers real-time translation across 22 languages for meeting notes and recordings.
It also integrates AI assistants such as Google Gemini and Perplexity across Galaxy apps, including Gallery, while Bixby enables natural language-based control of device settings and features.
For communication, Live Transcription converts voicemail and calls into text in real time in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
Battery, updates and security
The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh fast-charging battery designed for all-day usage. Samsung is offering six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, along with six years of security updates.
Security features include Samsung Knox and Knox Vault for hardware-backed protection of sensitive data such as photos and documents. Samsung Wallet supports Tap & Pay, UPI transactions, and secure storage of digital IDs and travel documents.
Availability and offers
The Galaxy A27 5G will be available from July 3 in Light Green, Light Pink, and Black colour options, in 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB variants.
It will be sold via Samsung exclusive stores, partner retail outlets, Samsung.com, and leading online platforms.
Launch offers include a ₹3,000 bank/UPI cashback or zero down payment options through select NBFCs for up to 15 months. Customers can also opt for a 24-month EMI plan with an 8-month flexible payment structure through select NBFC partners.
