Shyam Sundar Company jewellers to host exhibition remembering Soumitra Chatterjee in Tripura
Kolkata/IBNS: Shyam Sundar Company Jewellers is all set to host a gala exhibition "Remembering Soumitra Chatterjee" between Jan 18-19 at Rabindra Bhawan in Agartala's Tripura.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by Tripura High Court justice Shuvashis Talapatra along with special guests Tapas Mallick, Sudipta Chanda at 5:30 pm on Jan 18.
On Jan 19, the legend would be remembered through a small cultural endeavour through songs, poetry, shruti natok and so on at 11 AM. Manas Chakraborty would speak about the legend.
The gala exhibition would showcase his film posters including rare ones like Apur Sansar, Teen Kanya, Jhinder Bandi, Kanch Kata Heere, Sonar Kella, Debi, booklets like Atal Joler Ahoban, Barnali, Stree, Aagun, Uttaron and so on.
Besides that, it would feature film record covers, autographed documents, interestingly first print paintings by Soumitra Chatterjee himself including his self portrait.
The exhibition also would have thirty of original paintings on Soumitra Chatterjee by world wide known painters from India and Bangladesh like from India Suvaprasanna
