Sufi poet Ahad Zargar’s poetic works released

Srinagar/IBNS: Sufi poet Ahad Zargar’s poetic works in the shape of a book was released at the Narwara area in Shaher-e-Khaas on Monday

The book—Masnavi Guli Snober, Dastaan-e-Akinandun , Moulvi name was released by Ahad Zargar’s son Khurshid Zargar.

In his address, Khurshid Zargar said works of his father Ahad Zargar were mostly published in the litho press.

“It was my dream to give it proper shape, correct mistakes and compile the works in form of a comprehensive book. It was a huge responsibility on my shoulders as Ahad sahib’s works belong to people, scholars and poets,” he said.

“There is no yardstick to measure works of a Sufi poet,” Zargar added.

Arvind Shah, a poet from Delhi said hailed Khurshid Zargar for his contribution to the promotion of Sufi poetry.

Prof Shah Ramzan stressed the compilation of works of all Kashmir Sufi poets.

“It is our responsibility that works of these great poets must reach people," he said.

On the occasion, noted broadcaster Rafiz Raaz highlighted the contribution of  Khurshid Zargar in compiling the book comprising works of Ahad Zargar.
