Kolkata/IBNS: The mesmerising range of Thai food and flavours never fails to impress diners and if you have any doubts, then a visit to the food festival being organised by The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat is a must.

Until February 12, the pan Asian restaurant, Nori, is holding a Thai food festival showcasing the various regional flavours of this country.

Chef Frank, a well-known expat chef at the hotel, is leading the culinary team and has some of his signature dishes on the menu.

The specially curated menu will feature individual sections with a complete selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes besides an interactive live kitchen.

Some of the highlights from the vegetarian menu includes “Som Tam (Young papaya salad with peanut)”, “Tom Kha Phak (Aromatic soup flavored with galangal, coconut milk and chili)”, “Poh Pia Phak (Thai vegetable spring roll with glass noodles)”, “Kaeng Kiew Wan Phak (Thai vegetable green curry with aubergine)”, and “Phad Thai Phak (Traditional Thai flat rice noodle with tamarind and peanut)”.

The non-vegetarian menu includes “Laab Kai (Chicken minced salad with fresh mint, roasted rice, chili flakes)”, “Tom Yum Koong (Spicy soup flavored with lemongrass, lime, bird eye chili and prawn)”, “Tod Man Pla (Thai herbs marinated fried fish galletes)”, “Kaeng Phed Kai (Thai chicken red curry with bamboo shoot)”, “Phad Thai Koong (Traditional Thai flat rice noodle with tamarind, peanut and shrimp)” to name a few.

End your meal with specialty sweet selections such as “Tub Tim Krob (Water chestnut, red sweet syrup, crushed ice)”, or “Thai Coconut Pandan Pudding”.
