V. Venugopal Reddy appointed as IGNOU Regional Services Division director

New Delhi, May 20 (IBNS) V. Venugopal Reddy the Senior Regional Director, IGNOU has been appointed as Director, Regional Services Division, Indira Gandhi National Open University for a tenure a three years from May 2015 to May 2018.

Reddy has been working with this university since February 1987.

He has a varied experience in the design and development of Courses and programmes as well as delivery of Student Support Services.

The RSD which he is heading now has a mandate to operationalise the Regional Centres, Study Centres and Student Support Services of the University across the length and breadth of the country.

The RSD has a vast network of Regional Centres and Learner Study Centres to deliver academic programmes to support distance learners and other stake holders.

Reddy has worked in different capacities in the University as; Faculty, Assistant Director, Deputy Director, Regional Director and Director, Research Unit in the past.  He has established number of study centres, registered thousands of students, organized support services such as induction, academic counseling, and handling of assignments, conductof examinations and feedback meeting. He has also organized two All India Coordinators Conferencesin Pune and Bhuwaneshwar (RCs) in 1997 under the overall supervision of the Director, RegionalServices Division.
