2 killed in Bihar court premise blast
Arrah, Bihar, Jan 23 (IBNS) At least two people, including a policeman, were killed and several others were injured in a bomb blast in a court premise in Bihar's Arrah on Friday morning, police said.
According to to reports, a woman, who was also killed in the attack, was carrying the bomb.
The police have ruled out the possibility of the blast being a terror attack.
The explosion occurred at 11.30 am and in the melee two prisoners being produced in the court escaped.
The woman was sitting near a place where a police van had arrived with prisoners.
The injured people were rushed to a hospital.
Bihar Director General of Police PK Thakur was quoted as saying by CNN-IBN: "It seems she may be carrying a bomb towards the cell. Investigation is going on."
The incident occurred at a time when the country is gearing up to celebrate Republic Day on Jan 26.
