3-year-old Rohini twins die after getting drowned in washing machine

New Delhi, Feb 26 (IBNS): In a horrific incident, a pair of three-year-old twin died after they fell into a washing machine at their house in Rohini on Saturday afternoon, media reports said.

The two boys were killed as a result of drowning.

Police have started a probe to ascertain the cause of death, which according to preliminary report is an accident.

Their bodies were found inside the tumbler of the washing machine with their heads down.

The bodies have been sent to a government hospital for autopsy.

According to reports, the kids' mother piled up clothes near the washing machine and left the children playing near the bathroom to go to a local grocery shop.

The door of the flat was left unlocked. The mother, Rakhi, returned within few minutes and could not find the babies.

She then started searching for the babies and called up her husband.

Both of them then recovered their bodies in water inside the tumbler of the washing machine.
