4.8 earthquake hits Tripura, tremors felt in Bangladesh

Agartala/Dhaka, Nov 8 (IBNS): An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter Scale hit Tripura state of India on Wednesday, officials said.

As per the IMD website, the epicentre of the quake was located at Latitude 24.1 degrees north Longitude 91.2 degrees east.

The earthquake hit the area at around 10:20 hours.

The IMD website has called the intensity of the quake as 'slight'.

The quake hit at a depth of 33 kms.

The quake hit the Bangladesh-India(Tripura) Border Region.

According to media reports, the quake was felt in Dhaka and other parts of Bangladesh as well.
