New Delhi/Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee described the Union Budget as 'Pegasus Spin Budget' and said it has 'zero' for common people.

"BUDGET HAS ZERO FOR COMMON PEOPLE, WHO ARE GETTING CRUSHED BY UNEMPLOYMENT & INFLATION. GOVT IS LOST IN BIG WORDS SIGNIFYING NOTHING - A PEGASUS SPIN BUDGET," she tweeted.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget on Tuesday.

The budget was presented just days before several Indian states, including Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, will vote to elect new assemblies.
