AAP attacks Gautam Gambhir for allegedly distributing pamphlets targeting Atishi, BJP candidate denies

In the pamphlet, AAP candidate Atishi has reportedly been referred to as "prostitute","beef eater' and a "very good example of a mixed breed".

Hitting out at BJP candidate Gambhir, AAP supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, "Never imagined Gautam Gambhir to stoop so low. How can women expect safety if people wid such mentality are voted in? Atishi, stay strong. I can imagine how difficult it must be for u. It is precisely this kind of forces we have to fight against."

"We would clapped for Gambhir when he used to bash opponents with fours and sixes while playing for India but we never in our worst dream, had thought that this man would stoop this low to win an election," said Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.

Turning the battle into uglier, Gambhir lashed out at Arvind Kejriwal in a series of tweets.

Gambhir said: "I abhor your act of outraging a woman’s modesty @ArvindKejriwal and that too your own colleague. And all this for winning elections? U r filth Mr CM and someone needs ur very own झाड़ू to clean ur dirty mind."

Daring AAP, he said: "My Challenge no.2 @ArvindKejriwal @AtishiAAP I declare that if its proven that I did it, I will withdraw my candidature right now. If not, will u quit politics?"

"I feel ashamed to have a CM like @ArvindKejriwal" Gambhir added.

Atishi-Gambhir tussle keeps East Delhi buzzing

This is not the first time the two candidates have locked horns but previously Atishi had filed a complaint against Gambhir for allegedly possessing two Voter ID cards in two separate constituencies.

She had also alleged that Gambhir has concealed the information of his two voter IDs in an affidavit to the Returning Officer while filing his nomination.
