After NEET protests, CJP backs Jharkhand students' agitation over alleged JPSC-JSSC exam irregularities

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, who led the NEET paper-leak protests in Delhi last month, spoke to the protesting students before announcing the party's support.

In a post on X, Dipke wrote, "Spoke to the students who are protesting in Jharkhand over irregularities in JPSC and JSSC recruitment exams. The CJP stands with all the students in Jharkhand and supports their demands."

What is the protest about?

The agitation began in Ranchi in late July 2026 and has since expanded into a statewide movement led by aspirants of the JPSC and JSSC examinations.

The protesters have alleged question paper leaks, corruption, manipulation in the recruitment process, and irregularities in the 14th JPSC Combined Preliminary Examination, besides raising concerns over other recruitment tests conducted by the two commissions.

Key demands of the protesters

The students are demanding:

• Cancellation of the 14th JPSC Combined Preliminary Examination.
• A CBI probe into the alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC recruitment.
• Transparent and time-bound recruitment processes.
• Structural reforms in the state's recruitment agencies to prevent similar controversies in the future.

Political backing grows

The movement has witnessed sit-ins, marches and demonstrations across Ranchi, with students maintaining that their protest is aimed at ensuring fair recruitment and protecting the future of government job aspirants.

The agitation has also drawn political attention, with the BJP backing the demand for a CBI probe.

Other political groups, including the CJP, have also expressed support for the students' movement.
