Bhopal. Feb 17 (IBNS): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has rejected allegations made against him by the Congressin connection with an educational scam in his state.

Chouhan told NDTV: "All these allegations are baseless and false."

He said the increasing popularity of his party in the state was also troubling the Congress.

"They had made several allegations against me in the past. However, they could not prove them," he said.

The Congress on Monday alleged that the Special Task Force (STF) have 'tampered' with evidence while probing the Recruitment Scam in Madhya Pradesh.

Addressing a press conference with senior party leaders like Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia, Congress leader Digvijaya Singh said: "The usual procedures of investigation has not been followed by the STF."

He said: "The CM should either resign or prosecute me."

Scindia said his party wants to see that the seven crore people of the state are getting 'justice'.

The Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam hit the state in 2013 which was connected to medical admission and recruitment.
