Amit Shah hints at cabinet rejig soon
New Delhi, May 27 (IBNS) Addressing a press conference in the BJP headquarters on Friday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah hinted at a possible union cabinet reshuffle but said the date has not been fixed yet.
Some party insiders expect the reshuffle to happen in June, media reported.
With Sarbanand Sonowal becoming the the chief minister of Assam, the post of minister of state for sports (independent charge) in the Union cabinet has fallen vacant.
According to the media, the cabinet reshuffle is also partly due to the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
At the press conference, Shah highlighted the BJP government's achievements at the completion of two years at the helm of the country.
