Andhra Pradesh: 6 killed as lorry collides with auto-rickshaw

Guntur/UNI: As many as six people were killed and nine were injured when the auto rickshaw in which they were travelling collided with a lorry at Pondugula village in Dachepalli mandal on Addanki-Narketpally highway in Palnadu district in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday.

Police said that 15 agriculture labourers were going to a field to work.

A speeding lorry collided with the auto rickshaw killing five people on the spot and another died while being shifted to the GGH. Nine others were injured in the mishap and they were admitted to the Government General Hospital in Dachepalli.

The deceased and injured belonged to Narsapuram village in Damaracherla manal in Nalgonda district in Telangana state. CI Bilaluddin visited the scene of the accident, regulated the traffic and registered a case.
