Another Al-Qaeda member arrested in Assam

Guwahati: Goalpara district police on Friday have arrested another person linked with AQIS/ABT.

The arrested person was identified as Hafizur Rahman Mufti.

V. V. Rakesh Reddy, Superintendent of Police of Goalpara district said that, the arrested person is a teacher of a Madrasa.

"We have arrested him from Jogighopa area in Bongaigaon district. This is 4th arrest by Goalpara district police in connection with AQIS/ABT within a week. Hafizur Rahman Mufti is recruited into AQIS and has also links with ABT," V. V. Rakesh Reddy said.
