Another RJD leader killed in Bihar, second killing in two days

Patna, Jan 27 (The Bihar Post/IBNS): Two days after a RJD leader was killed in Samastipur district, another RJD leader was lynched in neighbouring Begusarai district in Bihar.

The incident took place at Sripur village under Cheria-Bariyarpur police station in Begusarai district.

Reports quoting local media said some people came searching for Madan Pandit at his village yesterday but after not finding him, they called him up on his mobile.

When he didn’t return home late in the evening, anxious family members launched extensive searches for him and then found his body from near a brick kiln.

Police say it seems the victim was badly beaten up as a result of which he collapsed. The reason behind his murder is not known.

On Thursday, the motorcycle-borne criminals had shot dead a prominent RJD leader Raghubar Rai in Samastipur district.

Rai had gone out for morning walk when the criminals pumped four bullets into him, leaving him dead.

The RJD leader and Bihar opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav has attacked the Nitish Kumar government over a spate of political killings in the state and mocked the government’s claim over law and order situation.

The rampaging criminals have also killed as many as four leaders from Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) in recent months.
