Arunachal Pradesh: BJP ahead in 9 assembly seats, two Lok Sabha seats

Itanagar, May 23 (UNI) The ruling BJP is leading in nine assembly and two Lok Sabha seats in the north eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh.

As per the initial trends available of the 11 Assembly seats, BJP is leading in nine, National People's Party (NPP) and Janata Dal (United) in one seat each.

BJP's nominee from Chowkham Assembly seat , and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein is leading, followed by Congress candidate Khunang Kri.

JD (U) candidate Techi Kaso is leading in Itanagar Assembly constituency while NPP nominee Kumar Waii is leading in Bameng.

In the two Lok Sabha seats, outgoing Union Minister of State for Home Affairs and BJP candidate Kiren Rijiju is leading in West Parliamentary seat, followed by Congress candidate Nabam Tuki.

BJP nominee Tapir Gao is leading in East Parliamentary seat , followed by Congress Lowangcha Wanglat.
