Assam Assembly polls: BJP takes early lead
Guwahati, May 19 (IBNS) The BJP made early gains in Assam where counting of votes for the 126 seats Assembly seats in the state is currently underway on Thursday.
The BJP is leading in 47 seats, as per early trends.
The ruling Congress is struggling as the party is ahead in 19 seats.
The AUDF is ahead in 13 seats while others are leading in 2 seats.
Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, who is contesting from Titabar seat, is currently leading.
