At least 20 killed as bus falls into gorge in Maharashtra

Mumbai, July 28 (IBNS) :  At least 20 people were killed when the bus in which they were travelling fell down a gorge in Maharashtra’s Raigad district on Saturday, reports said.

The bus was headed to Mahabaleshwar carrying about 35 staff members of the Dapoli Agriculture University when the accident took place at Ambenali ghat. 

NDRF teams have been rushed to the area and rescue operations are on.

A person identified as Prakash Sawant has been pulled out alive from the mangled remains of the bus.
