Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, Mar 29 (IBNS) : Close on the heels of several African students being beaten up by a violent mob that called for intervention of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, a Kenyan woman was allegedly thrashed by unidentified people in Greater Noida on Wednesday, reports said.

According to reports, the woman was dragged out of a taxi in which she was travelling before being assaulted in the wee hours.

The woman, a student, has been admitted to hospital.

A case has been registered and a hunt is on to nab the culprits.

The attack against the woman comes a day after a video emerged of an African national being brutally beaten up by a large group of men in Ansal Mall.

Earlier, four Nigerian students had on Monday sustained severe injuries after being attacked by a group of local residents in Greater Noida's Pari Chowk.

The incident took place when some local residents, protesting the death of a teenager, turned violent.
