Aurangabad (Maharashtra)/UNI: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind(JIH) here on Wednesday protested against the recent passage of three farm bills in the parliament, and demanded to withdraw the proposed legislations.

Led by JIH city chief Wajed Qadri, the protestors staged a demonstration in front of the District Collectorate and raised number of slogans against the bills, which continues to be in eye of the Opposition's storm.

Mr Qadri alleged, "The bills were passed in hurry without any vast discussions. Due to these bills, farmer will suffer trouble. If investment came from corporate in farming, there will be no guarantee for benefit of farmers."

"Thousand of farmers from different states came on the roads in protest of these bills," he highlighted, adding that NDA's old ally Akali Dal also opted out from the central government over the "anti-farmer bills".

Submitting a memorandum to Collector Sunil Chavan, JIH demanded to supply seeds and fertilizers to farmers, provide interest-free loans to them and purchase cotton at the MSP.
