Bengal: 11-year-old boy killed in bomb explosion in North 24 Parganas

Bongaon/UNI: An 11-year-old boy was on Monday killed when a crude bomb went off in a public toilet in West Bengal's border district of North 24 Parganas, official sources said.

The explosion happened early this morning when the victim, identified as Raju Roy Choudhury went into the toilet, which is situated near No.1 Rail Gate at Baxi Pally under local municipality' Ward 22.

It was not yet clear why the deceased, a resident of Subash Pally, went inside the toilet and how the explosion occurred.

Huge police contingent reached there and searched for any explosives stored nearby.

The body was taken for autopsy, sources confirmed.
