Panaji/IBNS: In a shocking incident, a Bengaluru man allegedly killed his girlfriend in Goa after taking her to the coastal state with an intention to get married, media reports said.

Sanjay Kevin M, the accused, was unemployed while Roshni Moses M worked at a school. Both were of the same age.

A local farmer discovered Roshni's body on Monday morning and informed the police.

Her body was found with multiple injuries including a cut in the throat.

Police said the two were in a relationship and cops suspect the motive behind murder was a personal issue.

Both had travelled in a state transport bus but they got off the vehicle at a remote location.

The victim's body was found in a forested area which was about 100 metres away from the road.

The bus ticket which was recovered from the girl's belongings provided police the lead. The bus ticket was booked by the accused.
