Others named in the charge sheet include Santi Prasad Sinha, then advisor at SSC, Samarjit Acharya, then Programme Officer and Saumitra Sarkar, then Chairman of SSC when the scam happened.

Others figuring in the charge sheet include Ashok Kr Saha, then ASC Assistant Secretary and Dr Kalyanmoy Ganguly, then President of Adhoc Committee at West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.

Ten candidates who were allegedly illegally appointed to government-aided schools, we're also mentioned in the document.

"The said case was registered on the orders of the High Court of Calcutta. It was alleged that the said accused entered into a conspiracy with one another in order to extend undue advantage in the matter of giving appointment to the unqualified candidates to the posts of Group-C staffs at various schools after expiry of the panel of candidates," the CBI said in a release.

Further investigation with regard to the larger conspiracy and the role of other persons is continuing, the release added.
