CBI files FIR against Rotomac pen promoter Vikram Kothari in loan defaulter case

Kanpur, Feb 19 (IBNS): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed an FIR against Rotomac pen promoter Vikram Kothari for allegedly being a loan defaulter of Rs. 800 crore, media reports said.

The CBI is presently questioning Kothari, his wife and son in Kanpur.

No one has been arrested yet.

The investigating agency has raided in residential and official premises of Kothari.

According to the media report, Kothari has failed to pay back the loans worth Rs. 800 crore taken from several state banks.

The CBI has started investigating after a complaint registered by the Bank of Baroda.

On Sunday, Kothari rubbished the reports of his flee from the country after one of his offices was found locked for a week.
