Chopper missing: Three bodies recovered from forests

Guwahati, Aug 12 (IBNS) : After eight days, security men on Wednesday evening recovered three bodies, including Tirap district Deputy Commissioner Kamlesh Joshi, from the deep gorge of thick forest area in Khonsa in Arunachal Pradesh, who were on board of the missing Pawan Hans chopper.

An official of Arunachal Pradesh government said that army personnel using special mountaineering equipment had reached the deep gorge in Khonsa, where the Pawan Hans helicopter with  Kamlesh Joshi and two pilots crashed after taking off from Khonsa on Aug 4.

Defence spokesman based in Guwahati said that special mountain trained personnel of Gorkha Unit and Special Forces with support from Assam Rifles and civilians have recovered the bodies from thick forest area.
