New Delhi: The Congress on Wednesday attacked the Narendra Modi-led government after the prices of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders were raised and termed it as 'loot'.

"The price of domestic gas cylinder increased by Rs 50 and commercial gas cylinder by Rs 350. The public is asking how long this 'loot' continue," Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge wrote in a tweet in Hindi.

He said every person is being badly affected due to inflation.

Petroleum and oil marketing companies increased prices of domestic LPG cylinder by Rs 50 and commercial gas cylinder by Rs 350.50 per unit on Wednesday.

Now with the increased price, a 14.2 kg domestic cylinder will cost Rs 1,103 and 19 kg commercial cylinder Rs 2,119.50 in the national capital.
