Coronavirus: Number of containment zones in Delhi rises to 60

New Delhi/UNI: The number of COVID-19 containment zones in the national capital increased to 60 on Thursday.

The number has increased to 60 after the addition of new areas which includes Gali No. 6, A Block, Abul Fazal Enclave, Shaheen Bagh and Gali No. 3, 4 and 5 in East Ram Nagar, Shahdara.

All these areas added under COVID-19 containment zones have been sealed.

The Delhi government from Monday started sanitisation and disinfection drives in the containment zones created across the city to prevent the spread of coronavirus and high-risk zones ascertained by the health department, for which the Delhi government has availed machines that can disinfect up to 20,000 square metre area per hour.
