Delhi liquor policy case: Arvind Kejriwal's ED custody ends today, to appear before court
New Delhi/IBNS: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will on Monday appear before a court as his Enforcement Directorate or ED custody in connection with the liquor policy case ended, media reports said.
Kejriwal, who was arrested by ED on March 21, will appear before the Rouse Avenue Court at 11:30 am.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader's ED custody was on March 28 extended till April 1.
Kejriwal arrested ahead of Indian General Elections
Kejriwal has become the first serving Chief Minister to be arrested and is the third senior leader from the party to be arrested in connection with the Delhi liquor policy scam.
The arrest comes hours after a team from the ED questioned him at his residence under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
The arrest was made just weeks before India voted in the first phase of the Lok Sabha (Lower House of the Indian Parliament) polls on April 19.
