Delhi woman allegedly gang-raped inside sleeper bus; 2 arrested

New Delhi/IBNS: A woman was allegedly gang-raped inside a stationary sleeper bus in Delhi, police said, according to media reports.

The incident reportedly took place on Monday night in the Rani Bagh area.

The bus driver and conductor have been arrested in connection with the case.

Woman allegedly dragged into bus

According to reports, the woman was returning home from work on the night of May 11 when the bus stopped near a bus stand in Saraswati Vihar.

The woman allegedly asked a man standing near the bus door for the time, following which she was reportedly dragged inside the vehicle.

Crime allegedly took place in Nangloi

Police said the accused later drove the bus to Nangloi, where the alleged sexual assault took place.

The vehicle has been seized and an investigation is currently underway.
