Demonetisation an effective anti-scam vaccine, says MV Naidu

New Delhi, Dec 29 (IBNS): Hailing his government's move, Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said that demonetisation is an 'effective anti-scam vaccine introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi'.

"Note withdrawal in the country is an effective Anti-scam vaccine introduced by the Prime Minister," he tweeted.

Listing out several postive changes following demonetisation, Naidu stated, "Earnings of Railways from cashless ticketing increased 30 percent."

"The general insurance industry saw 29% growth with premium collection of Rs 9162.81 crore for the month of November," his tweet added.

"Contrary to perceptions, Rabi sowing increased by 6.37%, no. of foreign tourists by 9.3% & foreign exchange earnings by 14.4% this year !" another tweet read.

The minister said that every government initiative is a step towards a 'New India'.

"Government's initiatives in last 2.5 years ranging from Swachh Bharat to Swachh Economy is momentous journey towards a NEW INDIA !"

Naidu also took a subtle jab at the Congress and said that the incumbent government took over from an 'ecosystem marker by serious governance deficits'.

"We inherited an eco-system marked by serious governance deficits. It is our endeavor to transform this Desperate India to a New India," he said.

Reiterating the government's stance on black money and corruption, he said, "Our government's endeavour is to unleash the 'might' of money through a white money economy, eliminating all black money!"
