Jammu/UNI: Hours after Director General, Jammu and Kashmir Prisons Department, Hemant Kumar Lohia was found murdered, Additional Director General of Police Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh, Tuesday said that domestic helper is the key accused in the crime.

Police however, also released a picture of an accused.

"In the initial investigation into the incident of death of DG Prisons, H K Lohia, it has come to fore that one domestic helper Yasir Ahmed, resident of Ramban is the main accused," ADGP Singh said in an official comminique.

He said that some CCTV footages collected from the incident site also shows the suspected accused running away after commission of this crime.

"He was working in this house for nearly six months and initial investigation revealed that he was quite aggressive in his behaviour and was also under depression as per sources," said Singh.

He added that so far no terror act is apparent as per Initial investigation but thorough probe is on to rule out any possibility.

"The weapon of offence has been seized besides some documentary evidence reflecting his mental state," said the ADGP.

He said that the photographs of suspected accused are circulated and anyone who gets any information of him or he is seen anywhere, must be shared with police.

Lohia with a slit and burn injuries mark was found dead in Udheywala area of Jammu on Monday evening.
