Director of Kashmir Tourism inaugurates ‘Mission Wushnare’

Srinagar/IBNS: Director of Kashmir Tourism, Dr G N Itoo, inaugurated “Mission Wushnare” at Bilaliya Educational Institute, Lal Bazar on Monday.

On the occasion, winter kits comprising food and woolen items were distributed among 206 families hailing from north Kashmir’s Tangmarg, Pattan, Kreeri, Palhalan, Kandi, and Baramulla.

“KWT has been at the forefront of extending helping hand to downtrodden families. I appreciate KWT for its contribution towards society,” Dr G N Itoo said.

Noted educationist Shafqat Jahan highlighted humanitarian and educational initiatives by KWT and Bilaliya Educational Institute.

“These institutes have been working for downtrodden families and providing an educational platform to children,” Jahan said.

On the occasion, KWT felicitated individuals who have left a mark in their respective fields.

The awardees included social activist Tariq Ahmad Patloo, RTI activist Dr Raja Muzaffar, educationist Shafqat Jahan, and journalist Arif Shafi Wani.
