Mumbai: Newly elected ministers of NCP (Ajit Pawar group), led by Ajit Pawar, on Sunday met NCP president Sharad Pawar at Yashwantrao Chavan Centre here and urged him to think of ways to keep the party united.

This meeting happened on eve of the Monsoon session of the state Legislature, raising public curiosity about as to what transpired in this meeting.

Speaking after this meeting, NCP leader Praful Patel informed that all NCP ministers, including his nephew Ajit Pawar, have requested Sharad Pawar to think about how the NCP will remain united.

"Sharad Pawar is our god. We met Sharad Pawar at Yashwantrao Chavan Centre today to seek his blessings... We all requested him to think about how the party will remain united," he said.

"He listened to us calmly. However, he did not give any response to this," added Patel.
